privacy policy

last updated may 2026

The short version: your health data never leaves your device. I don't collect it, I can't see it, and I don't want it.

Here's the longer version.

health and tracking data

Everything you enter into write everything down (logs, symptoms, medications, appointments, your emergency card, et cetera) is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage on your own device. This data is never transmitted to paloma imaginaria or any third party. I have no server, no database, and no access to what you write.

This also means I can't recover your data if it's lost. Please use the export feature regularly to keep a personal backup.

information I do collect

I collect almost nothing. Here's what little there is.

Email address (optional). If you subscribe to the paloma imaginaria mailing list, your email address is stored with our email service provider (Beehiiv). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send. I will not sell or share your email address. Beehiiv's privacy policy governs how they handle subscriber data.

Ko-fi. If you choose to support me via Ko-fi, any payment information is handled entirely by Ko-fi. I receive your display name and a notification that a payment was made. I don't receive or store your payment details. Ko-fi's privacy policy governs that transaction.

Web server logs. Our hosting provider (Netlify) collects standard server logs — IP addresses, browser type, pages visited — for technical operation of the site. I don't actively review these. Netlify's privacy policy governs this data.

cookies and local storage

I don't use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. The only browser storage I use is localStorage for app data, which stays entirely on your device. I don't use analytics services.

children

Paloma imaginaria apps are not directed at children under 13. I don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

your rights

Because I hold almost no personal data about you, there is very little to request, correct, or delete. If you subscribed to the newsletter mailing list, you can unsubscribe at any time. For any other privacy requests, contact me and I will respond within a reasonable time.

changes to this policy

If I make meaningful changes to this policy, the "last updated" date above changes. I'll note significant changes in the mailing list if you're subscribed.
